These scenes are created for artistic effect and not for 'game'-like performance. 3D mode can be displayed in any browser with WebGL support. For greater frame rate in 3D reduce the screen size.
Due to known issues with WebGL context-loss in several browsers, for VR headset mode it is strongly recommended to use ONLY the Brave browser. In addition, the 3D and VR frame rate is optimal in Brave. To enter VR mode press the 'enter VR' button in the lower center of the page.
Scenes with audio have an 'enable audio' button in the lower left corner which must be pressed to enable browser audio playback. There may be a brief delay before audio begins. Audio volume can be muted or modified in the standard way.
Keyboard navigation in 3D mode is described in brief detail in the top panel of each scene: Arrow keys left/right/up/down 'dolly' the camera left/right/up/down. Shift arrows left/right/up/down 'orbit' rotate the camera correspondingly. Shift+Ctrl left/right or up/down 'pans' the camera left/right or 'tilts' the camera up/down. The z-key dollies forward and Shift+z (Z) dollies back. Ctrl-z 'zooms in' field-of-view (fov), and Shift+Ctrl-z 'zooms out'. Space 'levels' the camera by unwinding accumulated roll, and Shift+Space resets position orientation and fov to intial 'home' values. Some scenes respond to 'OrbitControls' via left mouse or touchpad keypress and motion.
Keyboard navigation in VR mode is similar but lacks field-of-view variation. Of course keyboard navigation in VR is by touch alone so is difficult, and possibly to be used minimally. However VR navigation adds headset 'gaze' as a modulator of key-functions. A very effective 360-degree 'flying' technique is to hold down the dolly-forward z-key while shifting gaze continuously in the desired target direction.
NOTE: Photosensitivity Caution: some channels contain rapid motion / flashing.
